Speaker Series: Dale Lamphere Presents: “The Making of Dignity”, Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the High Plains Western Heritage Center, 825 Heritage Dr., Spearfish, SD. Mr. Lamphere (South Dakota Artist Laureate) will share the process of creating the sculpture “Dignity” that was placed at the Lewis & Clark rest area near Chamberlain. The soaring 50’ stainless steel sculpture depicts an American Indian woman holding a star quilt made of diamonds in shades of blue.
