Online Climate Advocate Training
SUNDAY, March 14 — 3-5 pm

The Montana chapters of Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) will hold a virtual Climate Advocate Training workshop for anyone interested in climate solutions.

CCL is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, volunteer-driven organization.  The Montana chapters are part of a network of hundreds of chapters around the country working to build political will to respond to climate change.

“Getting started with a new organization can be daunting,” said Kristen Walser, Bozeman resident and CCL MT State Co-Coordinator. “That’s why we have made it easy for people to get plugged in to CCL with our Climate Advocate Training.  In this interactive workshop, you’ll not only learn about CCL’s vision, we’ll help participants find a role, so they can hit the ground running.”

CCL’s approach to climate education is designed to create a broad, sustainable foundation for action across all geographic regions and political inclinations.

Montana CCL leaders will conduct the interactive workshop.

“Participants will not only learn the basics of becoming an effective climate advocate but will also have the opportunity to practice a mock lobby session with a member of Congress,” said Mary Mulcaire-Jones, Missoula Chapter Leader. “The training is designed to help attendees develop their skills for meaningful climate action.”

The workshop is free and will be held online from 3 to 5 pm on Sunday, March 14.
