MIA-FOUNDATION – SEARCHING FOR RELATIVES

Proud Saluting Male Army Soldier On American Flag Background

Bart van der Sterren

First, let me introduce myself. My name is Bart van der Sterren. I live in The Netherlands. I’m a member of the MIA-Foundation https://www.stichting-mia.nl. As Foundation, we adopted the name of Truman R. Lord, mentioned on “the wall of the missing” at the military cemetery in Margraten, in the south of The Netherlands. People around here still consider it an honor to remember the fallen and missing US soldiers. For us as the MIA-foundation, it is the least we can do to show our gratitude and respect for what so many young men from far over the ocean did for us more than 70 years ago.

The adoption of a name on the “wall of the missing” means visiting the cemetery on a frequent basis, placing flowers on special days or occasions (like e.g. Memorial Day or Christmas) and when relatives wish to do so and corresponding with the homeland.

Truman R. Lord was born in 1919 in IDAHO and lived in King County Washington. His last known unit was 358th Bomber Squadron, 303rd Bomber Group.
We are searching for information about relatives of Truman L. Lord. We want them to know that after so many years he is not forgotten. We hope you can help us.
