Seeking Actor/Actress

Bozeman, October 2016 – The Bozeman Symphony is seeking a villainous individual to appear as the evil Stifflemeister as part of the Heroes and Villains, Free Family Concert on February 10th & 11th, 2017. Join us for the return of Supermaestro as he and the Bozeman Symphony battle the evil forces of that music-hating villain Stifflemeister from the planet Mutonium. Will Supermaestro save the day, or will Stifflemeister silence music forever?

The Bozeman Symphony’s free family concerts have been presented to the Gallatin Valley for over 20 years, becoming more and more popular, with sold-out audiences. Occurring each February, this educational and entertaining musical and theatrical experience is enjoyed by audiences both young and old, attracting more than 3,000 individuals each year.

Alongside Maestro Matthew Savery and the Bozeman Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony is in need of an actor/actress to perform the crucial role of Stifflemeister in Heroes and Villains. The performance features a fun-for-all dazzling array of orchestral selections and popular tunes in a kid-friendly, fun-filled, 50 minutes of music. The hilarious script features Supermaestro, Stifflemeister, members of the orchestra, gags, and numerous special effects. Plenty of laughs will be had while discovering the wonderment of live symphonic music.

Performances of Heroes and Villains will take place Friday, February 10, 2017 at 1:15pm and two performances on Saturday, February 11, 2017, 10:30am & 1:00pm, at Willson Auditorium.

All performances of Heroes and Villains are 50 minutes. Actor will attend one tech and orchestra rehearsal, as well as additional rehearsals with the Music Director as determined.
